Hall Cove, Upper Kentmere. |
|
How accessible: |
An extremely difficult place to reach, quite simply
a long way from anywhere. The obvious place to start a walk to this sheepfold
would be Kentmere; not the easiest place to get to itself. After leaving
Kentmere; even the most experienced fell walker who knew exactly where to go
would need to walk for hours to reach this spot. And then, you only have the
choices of walking all the way back or climbing up the steep fellside at the
head of the valley.
The whole route from Kentmere Reservoir onwards is done off path. |
